Dr. Yaowu Chen [Vice President]

Presentation Title: Bio Infectious Diseases 2026

Dr. Yaowu Chen is the Vice President and Chief Physician of Lijiang People’s Hospital, Yunnan Province, and a postgraduate supervisor at Kunming University of Science and Technology. He is a recipient of the National Advanced Individual Against COVID-19 (2020) and an outstanding expert recognized by the Yunnan Provincial Government. With nearly 20 years of clinical experience in emergency and critical care medicine, he specializes in the management of severe infections, poisoning, trauma, and blood purification. His research focuses on the epidemiology of respiratory pathogens in Yunnan Province. He currently leads the project “Epidemiological Analysis of Respiratory Pathogen Detection in 11 Regions of Yunnan from 2021 to 2023” and has served as the principal investigator for several municipal and provincial research grants.
