D. Apele-Freimane
is the Head of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Women and Child Health Clinic of
Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital. Member of Paediatric Committee of
the European Medicines Agency (EMA) since 2007 and Coordinator of the Neonatal
Workgroup within the PDCO. Member of the Scientific Advice Working party of the
EMA since 2019. Member of International Neonatal Consortium involved in the
Hemodynamic Adaptation Workgroup. Graduated from Medical Academy of Latvia in
1994, and specialized as Paediatrician
and Neonatologist. Since 1998, she holds a postgraduate degree in
Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine from Riga Stradins University. She
is a Lecturer in Riga Stradins University and confirmed scientist with
expertise in paediatric clinical trials.
