Presentation Title:  Determinants of male involvement in antenatal care at Palabek Refugee Settlement, Lamwo district, Northern Uganda

Iam Auma Irene, I completed a Master’s of Science in Public Health in 2022 at the age of 37 years from Clarke International University, Kampala Uganda.  I am currently a program officer for an Epidemic and Pandemic preparedness and Control program with The Uganda Red Cross Society. However I had previously worked in the field of Reproductive Maternal New Borne and Child Health as well as Sexual Reproductive Health in different International organizations including Lutheran World Federation, Child Fund International and World vision for about 10 years. This background was the basis for the interest of conducting a study on determinants of male involvement in antenatal care for my master’s thesis. I have so far published one article in BMC pregnancy and child health. This is a highly reputable journal with a high impact factors. I have gained a lot of experience through this research publication and am currently working on two research projects and I hope to have them published next year (2024).
