Presentation Title: Hypothyroidism in Infancy

Dr. Rose is Professor Emerita of Endocrinology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. After graduating from Oberlin College, she received her MD from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, completed Pediatric Residency at The Cleveland Clinic and Endocrinology Fellowship at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development at NIH.

She served on the LWPES Drug and Therapeutics Committee, AAP Endocrine Executive Committee, PES Committee on Congenital Hypothyroidism, and was Endocrine Contributing Editor for the AAP Grand Rounds Newsletter. She was Program Director of the Endocrine Fellowship from 2006 to 2010. Publications include 130 review articles or chapters and 112 peer-reviewed articles. She has clinical expertise and research interests in Fanconi anemia and other bone marrow failure syndromes, congenital hypothyroidism and other thyroid hormone disorders, disorders of growth and puberty, and effects of central nervous system injury on hypothalamic-pituitary function (head injury, brain tumors, cranial irradiation, anoxia, iron overload).
